One of the best books I have read is from our Deputy Lead Investigator Paul Fennell:
A guide to paranormal Ireland; a new book written by our very own Paul Fennell has been released and is selling great.
This book details Paul's two year journey around Ireland researching it's paranormal past.
Haunted is the most comprehensive guide to paranormal Ireland written to date; in it Paul will take you on a journey to into the world of Ghosts, Spirits and Legend.
Learn why ghosts appear to us and even why they appear to walk through walls.
You will also learn how to use a range of scientific equipment to detect and record paranormal activity.
Information contained inside will teach you how to communicate with the spirit world using methods such as a Seance, Table Tipping, Scrying, Ouija Boards and even Automatic Handwriting. A Guide to Paranormal Ireland will also take you on a guided tour of some of Ireland's most haunted locations. Paul has extensively researched these locations and presented them for you to begin your own journey into the world of Paranormal Ireland.
Haunted; A guide to Paranormal Ireland will be in all good book shops with a RRP of €10.99
You can also order it from: Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Haunted-Paranormal-Ireland-Paul-Fennell/dp/184223286X/ref=sr_1_1/202-9669913-8069454?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182894327&sr=8-1)

This is about the author
Victor James Zammit B.A.(Psych.)Grad, Dip. Ed.(UTS). M.A. (legal Hist.) LL.B. (UNSW), Ph. D Lawyer, Euro-Australian, is a retired lawyer of the Supreme Court of Australia. Victor arrived in Australia from Europe in 1957 as a mid teenager. He worked as an attorney in Local Courts, District and Supreme Courts in Sydney and then became a specialist and lecturer in Corporations Law.
Victore pursued extensive extra curricular activities in civil liberties and human rights, participating in memorable public debates. He did and still does volunteer work in legal aid and legal referral.
For over a decade 1970 - 1980 on Sundays, Victor volunteered his professional services as meetings co-ordinator and chairperson at the Wayside Chapel. He worked closely with the legendary spiritually radical, charismatic leader, the Rev. Ted Noffs , and was influenced by his teaching of universal consciousness and respect for all religions and no religionists. Hew was attracted y the philosophy of the Wayside Chapel - " I am a Catholic, a Protestant, a Jew, a Muslim, a Sikh, a Buddist, a Hindu...I am part of all religions past , present and future, because I am a human being and nothing is alien tome..."
Furthere, the emphasis at the Wayside was on a social justice, in doing for the good of humanity and not on beliefs.
Victor was initially suspicious of the New Age Movement for what appeared to be its blantant commercial exploitation of peoples basic instinctual tendencey for spiritual developement. However, he had a number of psychic/spiritual experiences which set him questioning, reading, and researching. Adopting a scientific criterion, Victor was able to select that information which could withstand and pass the many rigid tests of objectivity.
Victor is now a full time writer and researcher on empirical evidence for the Afterlife. The book, A lawyer Presents His Case For the Afterlife, is regulary being accessed by thousands of people from around the world including English speaking countries and China, Russia, Africa, Asian countries, South Americas, European countries,

hope that link works! I've just ordered it through amazon and it should be a good read! Another interesting one would be an Introduction to Parapsychology by irwin and watt - however when I was pasting over the link many others popped in to!! So, from a skeptics point of view which one would you advise to read, or is there a particular author who has done research which would benefit us all!

Haha lol Tracey - we guessed that was what you meant!!
Well, as I was snowed in (car lock frozen) and driveway was a skating rink - not helped by yours truly who was being a big child!!! The neighbour was clearing his driveway while I was making a snowman (I am 38!!)......... anyway........ I did get the book written by Billy Roberts and Ciaran O'Keefe - The Great Paranormal Debate - on Friday in the post - and finished it on Saturday afternoon...
Can I say it was a great book - and would urge eveybody to read it if they can find it (I got it on Amazon) - the way it is set out, is that they take a subject - Billy will set down his clairvoyant thoughts on the subject followed by Ciaran setting down his scientific thoughts on that subject.. the following chapter -the science comes first with the views of the clairvoyant answering... There are 2 chapters as questions and answer sessions - some of these questions are fairly "out there" and therefore it gives the reader a great insight in to both of these men's thoughts (both whom I have great respect for) it would cause great debate and it also gives you further reading material that might help the reader to further their education in the paranormal, parapsychology, psychology etc - to the extent that yesterday I went rooting through all the books I have at home and am now reading the works of the Edinburgh born Hume!!
