Hi

i dont want to come across as an ass on my first post, but in the interest of proper paranormal resarch I have to ask ....

IN the Equipments page on the site, not only do you not have any non-digital cameras, but you also seem to propose that digital cameras no longer have any faults int he field of paranormal investigation.

I would say to you that they do have, especially nightvision cameras. Digital cameras and digital recording devices have still to be totally validated in this field.

What proof or evidence do you have to back up your cliams on the website?

I dont ask this in an ignorant way, i ask this because I sincerely believe you might be missing a few facts.

Hey Cormac, Firstly welcome to the site as we have always maintained we welcome sceptical and constructively critical comment.

1, To address your first point, yes that page is a little out of date and we do infact use 35mm SLRs and analog video on all our investigations now.

2, Digital cameras and recording equipment are in common use today in this field by groups professional and amateur alike which ultimately is the only way the technology will ever be validated. I work professionally with digital imaging and recording equipment on a daily basis and the simple fact of the matter is that as a technology it is substantially superior what was available even a couple of years ago. I have noticed that compared to traditional cameras; digital tends to pick up more artefacts like dust orbs which is a characteristic rather than a limitation of digital technology. Although I didn't write that part of the website I believe that limitations referred to the poor performance of early generation digital cameras. But given your comments I believe we should reword that section for clarification.

3, To date we have not presented any of our data as claims or definitive evidence of the paranormal for one simple reason and that is that we don't have anything that we can say is 100% paranormal. We routinely dismiss nearly all the potential evidence we collect if there is even a potential explanation for an anomaly. We do have some data that defies reasonable explanation but for now we would categorise it simply as "Interesting"
All our data is scrutinised in detail by people experienced in data and photo analysis and some of whom have a pretty sceptical view of the paranormal in general.
I hope that helps to answer some of your questions
